Pop & Bang Maps
The exhausts of many sports cars have naturally popped, banged and flamed since the dawn of time, but now more and more customers want their vehicles to make these same sounds.
HOW DOES WE MAKE THE POPS AND BANGS?
Normally when you come off the throttle, your fuel injectors don’t fire at all. To create pops and bangs we need the injectors to stay open briefly then by heavily retarding the ignition it means combustion happens after top dead centre with the exhaust valves open. Much of the fuel is then ignited by the hot exhaust, creating small explosions in the exhaust system. These small explosions are what create the burbling or crackling noises and in some cases can even result in flames exiting from the tail pipes.
Warning: We will only install feature onto vehicles which have an uprated exhaust system with decat or sports cat installed.
